server access. It can be added to our Personal Advantage and Business Domination
accounts for only AU$33 (US$21) setup and AU$3.30 (US$2) per month.
GPG (GNU Privacy Guard) is an OpenPGP compliant application which enables you to encrypt
data on your web site. It is compatible with PGP 5.x and has very similar
functionality. If your site comes with secure server access, we will setup GPG
for you for free.
If you intend to receive sensitive information over the web,
SSL access alone does not guarantee the safety of your data. SSL keeps the information
safe as it travels to your web site, but does not provide any protection once the data
arrives. GPG can be used to immediately encrypt the data when it arrives at your web
site - you only decrypt it once you have downloaded it to your hard drive. That gives
you peace of mind knowing that the information your customers enter into your secure form
will be safe all the way across the web.
